First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union New Headquarters

First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, a thriving regional financial institution, with a growing number of financial centers, approached MKSD to design their new headquarters in Trexlertown, Pa. Originally located in two separate facilities, the Credit Union desired that all headquarters personnel be brought together in one location. One of First Commonwealth’s missions is to provide its employees with a progressive work environment. This location required considerations for future growth and a collaborative working environment which MKSD surpassed.

The renovated facility provides all employees with daylight and views to the outside, various collaborative meeting rooms and coffee stations, a large multi-function break room, an exercise gym, and a large, hardscaped outdoor patio with gas grills and a fire pit.

Based on the project’s aggressive design and construction schedule, MKSD designed the core/shell and fit-out as two separate phases. First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union’s new headquarters was occupied in 2020.
