Buckeye Building

Buckeye Partners, LP is an international company that manages over 6,200 miles of petroleum pipelines and over 100 truck-loading terminals. Previously located in an outdated facility, the company’s leadership embarked on an initiative to relocate their Pennsylvania offices.

MKSD was hired to participate in early planning for the project, as part of a team that included CBRE’s real estate and project management professionals. Initial efforts included validation of programming schematic master planning, and test fits for a new ground-up facility in Lower Macungie Township.

Once the early planning phase was complete and it was clear that the project was feasible, MKSD was hired by both the local developer and Buckeye to design the shell building and 75,000 SF of tenant improvements. A local construction management firm was contracted for pre-design and construction services, and through a diligent collaborative process, both the shell and fit-out projects were completed well under budget.

MKSD also provided furniture selection, specification, and bidding services for Buckeye, as well as interior design and signage design.
