New Employee Spotlight – Justin Messere

MKSD is delighted to welcome our newest employee, Justin Messere!  Justin joined us a few months ago as a Project Manager and Designer.  We are excited to have Justin on our team and hope you enjoy getting to know him a bit more!

Give us a quick rundown of your LinkedIn/resume.

Commercial work for past 20 years working in Northern Jersey, New York/ Long Island, along East coast, international work for an Airforce base in Portugal, retail work, office fit-outs, renovated a church campus, storage buildings, ground up YMCA’s, etc.

What brought you to the Lehigh Valley?

I’m originally from North Jersey, but I moved out here for my wife.  MKSD was actually one of the first jobs I interviewed for and have always wanted to work here, I am interested in their vision.

Where did you go to college and what was your favorite class?

Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI.  My favorite class was photography.

Who is your favorite architect and why?

Norman Foster – he has unique vision and I like the way he incorporates technology into architecture.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

An archaeologist, like Indiana Jones!

What are some of your favorite hobbies?

Photography and spending time with my family.

What is the last tv show you binge watched?

The Flash – I’m actually still watching it!

What is the best advice you have ever received?

“You lost today kid, but that doesn’t mean you have to like it.” – Indiana Jones

What keeps you motivated and/or inspired?

The type of project I am working on, getting to contribute to it and make a piece of it my own.

What are you most excited about as a new member of the MKSD team?

The opportunities that will advance my career and the ability to contribute my knowledge to the firm.
