MKSD Designer Scott Focht Passes ARE®

Allentown, PA – MKSD architects’ Project Designer Scott Focht has passed his Architect Registration Examination® (ARE®) to become a registered architect (RA) in Pennsylvania. The ARE® is a testing procedure comprised of six different examinations related to the various architectural disciplines. It assesses candidates for their knowledge, skills, and ability to provide the various services required in the practice of architecture and has been adopted for use by all 54 U.S. and Canadian member boards.

Scott has been part of the MKSD architects’ team since 2016. As a Project Designer, he assists in nearly all phases of design for new construction, addition, and renovation projects. He helps conduct studies and site analysis, generate schematic design concepts, and prepare constructions documents.  Scott is also a Technology Strategist for MKSD and is a critical component in helping to integrate new technology to drive innovation and deliver maximum value to our clients.

Scott has worked on many local design projects including facility designs for St. Luke’s University Health Network, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, Straight Arrow Products, and Moravian College. He is a 2013 graduate of Philadelphia University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Scott’s registration means that MKSD architects now features nine Pennsylvania-registered architects, along with six LEED accredited and one NCIDQ certified professionals.
