On Monday, May 1st MKSD’s team, “The Polished Nails”, competed once again at the 5th annual “She Nailed It!” competition to raise money for the Lehigh Valley Chapter of Habitat For Humanity at the Steel Stacks Cafe. Although a lot of fun was had practicing and competing, the competition proved too much this year and the team was unable to repeat last year’s second place silver performance, much less go for the gold.

Alicia, our team captain, however, was awarded the prize for the highest individual fundraiser, raising an impressive $715 for a wonderful cause. She was given a bedazzled white hammer on a wooden display along with a margarita basket and a gift certificate for a massage.

Congratulations Alicia!

Thank you to the following donors: the Hewes Family, DesignPoint, HB Engineers, FastSigns, Penn Lighting, Boyle Construction, Vertek, Armstrong Ceilings, the Maurer Family, the Whildin Family, the Wenner Family, and the Lopez Family.

This annual Women Build event is always a good time and the money raised goes to building a house for a local family. Everyone wins!
