MKSD participates in the 2020 Volunteer Challenge

For the second year in a row, MKSD partnered with Haven House to participate in the 2020 Volunteer Challenge.  The Volunteer Challenge, hosted by the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley, partners local businesses and non-profits together to complete sustainable projects.  Click here for more information on the program.

Haven House provides mental health services to residents throughout Lehigh Valley.  They recently launched a Food Readiness Program to teach life and work skills within the food and hospitality industries.  The program is hosted in their existing cafeteria to provide real-life experience for clients.  For more information on Haven House and the services it provides, visit their website here.

With a few helping hands, the MKSD team transformed the existing cafeteria into a lively café space by painting the outdated walls, installing a pallet-feature wall with signage, painting a new chalkboard menu, installing new café-style and lounge seating, and more!
