The pandemic has been a difficult time for many local businesses.  With limited capacity to eat out at some of our favorite restaurants, many of us have been leaning on take-out options instead.  MKSD wanted to give a shout out to some of our staff’s favorite go-to spots so we asked – what is your favorite take-out spot and why? What is your go-to dish?

Point Phillips Hotel – Bath, PA

My go-to entrée- Pulled Pork and Ribs Sampler with a side of mac and cheese.” – Ali

White Orchid – Center Valley, PA

“We have always gotten takeout from them, but during the present COVID period we have found their staff & patrons to have gone above and beyond to make sure everyone remains safe!  My go to meal is the Shrimp & Chicken Pad Thai and Thai Corn Fritters.  They also have excellent options for kiddos to try to broaden their food experiences!” – Jess

Cumin N Eat – Allentown, PA

“Our favorite local restaurant for take out the last several months is Cumin N Eat in Dorneyville. It is an authentic Indian restaurant that serves up some of the tastiest food. We were not really sure what we were ordering the first time, but the owner was so helpful in asking us what kind of things we like and what spice level, etc. She suggested some things and we picked some other things and it is delicious!” – Susan

Pho Bowl – Bethlehem PA

Thai Kitchen – Bethlehem, PA

“I love picking up Thai Food! I often get drunken noodles, as spicy as they can make it! We typically go to Pho Bowl or Thai Kitchen in Bethlehem. They’re both equally great, we often have to flip a coin to pick which one.” – Andrew

Cali Burrito – Allentown, PA

“Cali Burrito for me! Love the tacos.” – Silvia

“…Cali Burrito – the Santa Barbara (chicken tacos – hard shell wrapped in a soft shell, with some good hot sauce and one of their specialty salsas).” – Nick

True Blue Mediterranean – Emmaus, PA

“True Blue Mediterranean Café in Emmaus – True Blue is a great family-owned café that offers delicious Mediterranean food and coffee.  They have a great vegetarian/vegan menu.  My favorite is a cauliflower wrap.” – Ryan

The Shelby – Allentown, PA

“We have been getting takeout from the Shelby at Hamilton Crossings.  The food is good!  I like the rice bowls, flatbread pizza, steak entrees, hamburgers, and their Caesar salad is tasty!  But probably most of all, we can get the mason jar cocktails to go!” – Jill

Fuze Nutrition – Nazareth, PA

“I go to Fuze every Saturday morning after my run for a shake and energy drink.  My go-to combo is Red Velvet (with chocolate chips) and Pink Passion!” – Megan

The Hamilton Restaurant – Saylorsburg, PA

“Great food & local for pickup.” – John

Joey B’s – Palmerton, PA

“Great food!” – Anna

One Third– Bethlehem, PA

“One Third Asian on Linden Street in Bethlehem.  The red curry is to die for and they have the freshest sushi around!” – Todd

Tucker Silk Mill – Easton, PA

“Great coffee, great food, and great staff.  They not only offer outdoor dining and take-out, but they offer provisions as well such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and general supplies (paper towels, cookware, cleaning products, et cetera).” – Chris
