Northampton Community Club

Northampton Country Club of Easton, PA offers an upscale dining venue and club experience in the Lehigh Valley. DJC Architects of Wayne, NJ assisted in an addition at the rear of the clubhouse while DesignPoint offered interior and hospitality design expertise throughout the renovation. The new design incorporates an upper terrace connecting the ballrooms and a lower level multifunctional dining venue that opens to an outdoor seating area. The addition provides much needed square footage, but allows for flow between the adjacent upscale dining venue.

NCC hoped to reinvigorate their members’ experience as well as attract new members with an integration of contemporary architectural design elements among the dining areas. The ceiling was designed with a combination of coffers as well as exposed wood beams. The new ceiling plan added visual interest while dividing the long expanse of the space and accentuating its existing stone. In conjunction with the new ceiling layout, a combination of LED lighting , decorative pendants and fans were added.

To offer more flexible dining solutions, DesignPoint devised a layout coinciding with three degrees of privacy to create a separate dining room for large gatherings. As a result, the bar and dining rooms become visually connected, but hold independence by virtue of its millwork wall system. This solution offers both amenities of private and public, and can be used as dining overflow. The transitive nature of this space provides an attractive option for groups of 25-50 off the golf course to enjoy, without disturbing the private dining members.

Once the construction process was completed the firm designed and procured the furniture shown in the space. This included custom tables, banquettes, and seating.
