Lehigh Valley Health Network Palmer Medical Center

The two-story, 57,000 square foot building is a complement of physicians’ practices on both floors designed utilizing LEAN principles. Shared common waiting areas, centralized provider areas, and the incorporation of flow stations where providers touch down and nursing is done in a collaborative setting are a few features incorporated in the design.

A Pediatric Health Center, part of the Children’s Hospital at LVHN, was incorporated into the design with a separate pediatric entrance, check-in, and waiting area, Pediatric ExpressCare, drop-in pediatric specialty area, and pediatric rehabilitation services.

The second floor hosts an 11,000 square foot Specialty Session Suite, allowing patients to see specialists in their neighborhood community health center instead of a centralized network practice. The suite houses 12 different specialties sharing 30 exam rooms and four procedure rooms.

The Health Center includes:
• Health network labs
• OB & Gynecology
• Pediatric health center
• ExpressCare
• Rehabilitation
• Radiology
• Vision center
• Orthopedics
• Specialty session suite
• Diagnostics testing
