Hello Summer 2021!

Memorial Day weekend brings us the opportunity to remember the brave men and women who have given their lives serving our country. It also serves as the unofficial start to summer. Since last summer’s plans were mostly canceled, people are ready for travel as the numbers of vaccinated Americans increases. With this in mind, we asked the MKSD team the following question:

Will you be traveling this summer and if so, where are you going?

Here are the responses:

Megan – “Yes!! I just went to the Jersey Shore, next up is Florida (we are going to Disney to celebrate our postponed wedding date) and then off to North Carolina!”

Jess – “Beach Haven, Boston & Bar Harbor.”

Nick – “Rehoboth Beach, DE; Deep Creek Lake, MD; Camping – location TBD”

Susan – “We just returned from North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and have plans for Cape May, New Jersey, South Bethany, Delaware, and in September we’re going to Lake Champlain, New York.”

Silvia – “We are headed to Savannah, Charleston and Hilton Head Island for sightseeing, history, architecture, low country food and beach time! We can’t wait.”

Ali – “New Jersey & Delaware beaches & our cabin, of course!”

Jill – “We will be heading to a Lake in Maryland later this summer to celebrate our nephew’s 1st birthday! We cant wait to go boating, jet skiing, taking hikes, and eating cake! 😊

Our family is also travelling to the Rehoboth Beach for a week, a tradition my parents started about 5 years ago.  They rent a great house with a pool (my kids are not huge fans of the sand).   And we are excited to do more things this year like mini golf, eat in a few restaurants, boogie board, bike rides, and just have FUN together not in our own house!  😊”

Scott – “We’ll be taking our annual trip to the Outer Banks, NC.  Every year we pick a different house rent for the week, and this year we’ll be staying in Rodanthe.”

Katie – “Ocean City, MD in August!  😊”

Justin – “I’m not going anywhere this summer but we are going to Walt Disney World in November.”

Ryan – “Yes, Vermont.”

Andrew – “I’m traveling to Duck, NC to track down the origin of the Duck Donut!”

MKSD architects wishes you all a happy and safe summer, wherever you roam!
