Meet MKSD’s Newest Architectural Designer… Danna Biello

We were thrilled to welcome Danna to the MKSD team in February as an Architectural Designer! 🎉

Danna brings a strong background in Higher Education, K-12 education, and Luxury Retail and a passion for giving back to the community. She is currently pursuing her master’s in interior architecture at Marywood University, where she received her undergrad degree. She has been hard at work on a variety of project types and says she is most excited to work in healthcare for the first time, to “see what it takes to work on spaces that focus on wellness.” Danna also just celebrated her wedding in June!

To get to know her a little bit, we posed some questions to her, so let’s take a look.

  • Do you have a design philosophy or an area of architecture/design you’re most passionate about? “I am interested in the occupant experience. I think that buildings can be beautifully designed, but if they do not work with and for the occupants, ultimately the building is not successful. Good architecture finds the middle point between good aesthetic and occupant experience.”
  • What’s a building or space that inspires you and why? “The Second Home series by Selgascano is a personal favorite. Second Home is a series of offices designed across the world that really take the occupant’s experience into consideration. With lots of color and interior landscaping for greenery, these offices are both beautiful and comfortable working environment.”
  • What do you enjoy doing outside of work?  “Since it is the summer, I am big into gardening right now! I also enjoy crocheting, yoga, reading, and playing disc golf. My lifelong vacation spot has been Topsail Island, NC. I love a week hanging by the ocean!”

Please join us in welcoming Danna to the team!
