Giving Back Through Design: Parkland CARES Food Pantry Ribbon Cutting

MKSD Architects was honored to attend the recent ribbon cutting celebrating the renovation and expansion of Parkland CARES Food Pantry’s headquarters. This milestone marks more than just a new chapter for the organization—it represents a strengthened commitment to supporting families in need throughout the Parkland School District.

We were proud to donate our time and design expertise to help transform Parkland CARES’ existing space into a more functional, efficient, and welcoming environment. The renovation included the removal of interior walls to open up and reconfigure the layout, upgraded finishes and lighting, and the addition of ADA-compliant restrooms to improve accessibility for all clients and volunteers.

By enhancing the usability and atmosphere of the space, the updated facility allows Parkland CARES to better serve the growing number of families who rely on their support. Every design choice was made with their mission in mind—fighting food insecurity with dignity and compassion.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Parkland CARES team on this exciting new chapter. It was a privilege to partner with such a dedicated organization making a real difference in our community.
