Memorial Park Pool

Teamed with renowned aquatics specialist Counsilman-Hunsaker & Associates, Inc., MKSD architects was first hired to complete a feasibility study for the Borough’s aging Memorial Park Pool Complex and to provide options and conceptual plans for a new aquatics facility. When the study was completed, the Borough hired the MKSD/Counsilmen-Hunsicker team to design the new community swimming pool and recreation complex in the Borough of Chambersburg.

Replacing an existing 1960’s pool, the new facility features a leisure pool, a competition/fitness pool, a bathhouse with showers, toilets & lockers, snack bar, offices and site/landscape elements.

The leisure pool offers:

• Spray ground configured to allow three season use
• Separate tot pool
• Zero beach entry with play feature
• Otter slide & 3 water slides
• In-water Volleyball and Basketball
• Current channel with Vortex
• Lily pad walk
