New Employee Spotlight : Anna Slowik

MKSD is excited to welcome one of our newest additions to our Design Team, Anna Slowik! Anna joined us in February as a Project Designer with an extensive background in construction detailing. We are excited to have Anna on our team and hope you enjoy getting to know her a bit more!

Give us a quick rundown of your resume.

I worked for an architectural firm in New York City which specializes in townhouse restoration.

What brought you to the Lehigh Valley?

I relocated to the Poconos after living in the NYC area for 12 years.

Where did you go to college and what was your favorite class?

I graduated from Silesian University of Technology in Poland with a major in building engineering. My favorite class was Engineering Mechanics and Building Systems.

Who is your favorite architect/designer and why?

I love the architecture of New York City…from small landmark townhouses to modern skyscrapers.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I love animals and I have always wanted to help them.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?

Hiking, cooking, road trips and camping.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Don’t be afraid of leaving your comfort zone.

What keeps you motivated and/or inspired?

It’s very rewarding to see my projects completed. This keeps me motivated.

What are you most excited about as a new member of the MKSD team?

Meeting new people and working on new exciting projects.
