Intern Spotlight: Kylee Polash

Kylee joined the MKSD team as one our summer interns in mid-May – seems crazy it is already the end of June!  In the last few weeks, she has jumped right in to work on a wide variety of tasks from surveying existing buildings, developing floor plans for healthcare projects, to helping with Let’s Build Camp for Girls.  We are thrilled to have Kylee as a summer intern and look forward to her growth over the summer!

Where do you go to college and what has been your favorite class?

I currently go to Jefferson University, in Philadelphia and my favorite class was one I had last semester in Rome called Architecture of the City; it was basically a sketching tour of the most famous places around Rome.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?

I’m part of a bowling family so I’ve been in leagues since the age of 2 and have grown up watching many sports. I also love to travel and experience new places; when I was abroad in Italy, I also traveled to Barcelona ad Paris. I also love spending time outdoors and taking my dog to the dog park.

Who is your favorite architect/designer and why?

I’m a big fan of Daniel Libeskind. I feel like his museums in particular are designed very uniquely based on the topic at hand. His Jewish Museum in Berlin is near the top of my list of places to visit in the world.
