Sharp United Drug

MKSD architects have worked with Sharp since 2008, providing ongoing architectural services to modify their high-tech packaging lines on as as-needed basis at the U.S. Flagship facility. This facility houses over 270,000 square feet of cGMP product packaging space as well as support spaces, such as warehousing, loading docks, offices, locker rooms, and a cafeteria.

After a facility master plan study, MKSD architects designed a 118,000 square foot addition to the Sharp Packaging Solutions Corporate Headquarters and Plant in Allentown, PA. The program for their Flagship U.S. Facility included 60,000 square feet in new drug packaging line rooms, a new secure staff entry with access to renovated and expanded lockers, 43,500 square foot private and open office space over three floors, a first floor, 15,000 square feet cafeteria for packaging plant employees, and new corporate office space featuring state of the art technology.
