NASD George Wolf Elementary School

George Wolf Elementary School was originally dedicated in 1968. In 1973, a two-story classroom wing was added to the facility. In 2006, the Northampton Area School District hired MKSD architects to update the school and bring it up to current federal, state, and local building codes and Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) standards. MKSD’s basic scope of work for 84,400 sf of renovation and 24,500 sf of additions included:

• Repaving all paved areas and adding parking;
• Designating traffic flow around the school
• Replacing the classroom carpeting and windows
• Incorporating ADA upgrades throughout
• Installing new casework, ceilings, marker boards, and finishes throughout
• Installing new clock, intercom, and addressable fire alarm systems
• Adding a new main entrance with a securevestibule
• Incorporating new interior and exterior mlighting
• Installing new plumbing fixtures throughout
