Groundbreaking Held for New First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union
May 14, 2019 – Members of the MKSD Design Team attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new First Commonwealth Credit Union Headquarters in Trexlertown. Todd Chambers, the Partner-in-Charge, Ryan Kennedy, the Project Manager, Chris Worton, the Project Architect, and Ali Stoudt, the Project Designer were all on hand to help kick off construction of the new facility that will be part of the Trexler Business Center in Lower Macungie Township.
The 81,000 square feet 3-story building will centralize FCFCU’s corporate operations under one roof and give FCFCU a presence in the western end of the region. FCFCU will occupy the top two floors, leaving 22,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, part of which will house a new APCI Federal Credit Union branch. FCFCU also is building an adjacent 5,000 square feet 2-story branch office.
FCFCU currently has more than 62,000 members and 1,300 member companies from the Lehigh Valley including B. Braun, Olympus, The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and East Penn Manufacturing.
