New Employee Spotlight: Joanne Titcomb

MKSD is thrilled to welcome our newest addition to our Interiors Team, Joanne Titcomb!  Joanne joined us in March as a Project Designer and Interiors Specialist.  We are excited to have Joanne on our team and hope you enjoy getting to know her a bit more!

Give us a quick rundown of your LinkedIn/resume.

Started working for a regional architectural firm in Philly right out of school. Then I moved to the Lehigh Valley and started working as an Interior Designer at a local architectural firm.  I’ve also spent some years working for myself and at two different commercial furniture dealerships.

What brought you to the Lehigh Valley?

I’m originally from the Philly suburbs, but moved to Lehigh Valley after getting married.

Where did you go to college and what was your favorite class?

Philadelphia University (although it was called Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science when I started, changed to Philadelphia University by the time I graduated, and now it’s called Jefferson). I actually loved art history and at one point considered changing my major.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

A musician or ASL interpreter. Although they never became my profession, music and ASL remain a big part of my life.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?

Hiking, camping, road tripping are my favorite family activities. I also love doing nosework training (and soon to be competing) with my dog Tonka. I used to be an avid knitter as well, but rarely have time for that these days.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Tomorrow is never guaranteed; be thankful for today.

What keeps you motivated and/or inspired?

Being outdoors and surrounded by its beauty always refreshes my soul and leaves me inspired.

What are you most excited about as a new member of the MKSD team?

Being a team member that is more integral with the entire design process and learning new areas of the industry as a result.
