Vote for MKSD’s Team CANtilevers!!!!

MKSD architects, Team CANtilevers, participated in the 2nd annual CANstruction of the Lehigh Valley event that pits teams of construction industry professionals against one another in a fundraising event that benefits the Second Harvest Food Bank.

This year’s theme is Lehigh Valley Heritage and features giant CANstructions that depict an important person, place, event or culture that has built the history of the region.

The MKSD CANtilevers gave a nod to C.F. Martin & Co., one of the area’s oldest companies, with a can-replica of the HD-28 guitar, one of the best-selling guitars in Martin’s history. This CANstructure is made up of over 3,000 cans of pork and beans, baby carrots, sauerkraut, tuna and sparkling water which will all be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank at the culmination of the event.

All eight CANstructures are on display at the Lehigh Valley Mall until Thursday, October 13th and each one has a donation box in front of the display. Please go out to the mall to see the CANstructures in person and make a donation to Second Harvest Food Bank. The team with the highest amount of donations at the end of the event will be awarded the Fan Favorite Award.

MKSD CANtilevers would greatly appreciate your support and your vote for Fan Favorite, so head out to the mall and vote today!!!!

More information and a picture gallery of the building of the CANstructures was featured on LVB.com in an article by Stacy Wescoe and can be viewed here.
