Ice Cream Favorites

The cool weather reminds us that fall is approaching… and sadly marks the end of summer. As we reflect on this past summer, one highlight in particular, for MKSDers, was the surprise Ice Cream truck stop at our annual Summer Picnic.

Here is the MKSD architects & 4g Engineering staff with families at the surprise truck stop!

As you can see, many MKSD minis were pretty ecstatic.

So, of course, looking through the photos spurred an office conversation about our favorite flavors… and we quickly realized that many of us are very picky about our summer treats!

First, we have the straightforward crew:

Jill likes Rocky Road, Jess prefers Mint Chocolate Chip, and Nick enjoys Turkey Hill’s Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor.

And then a bit more specific:

Silvia enjoys a baseball-inspired flavor, Turkey Hill Yankees Pinstripe Brownie Blast. Joudi’s favorite is dark chocolate with strawberry and mango. Asia likes butter pecan with fresh strawberries & Patty prefers soft serve vanilla with raspberry syrup drizzled, in a cone, with chocolate jimmies!

Then it gets a little interesting:

Mark’s patriotic choice is Ben & Jerry’s Steven Colbert Americone, a vanilla ice cream with fudge covered waffle cone pieces and caramel swirl. He states, “it is sweeter than the Bill of Rights, colder than Valley Forge, and has twice as much caramel than the Louisiana Purchase”.

John visits the Bank Street Creamery (or as Eastonian’s know it, The Purple Cow) to get his Death by Peanut Butter, complete with peanut butter swirl and peanut butter cookies.

Todd has to travel a bit further than Easton to get his Purple Monster – black raspberry with blueberry chuncks, chocolate chunks, and white chocolate chunks, make by the Brick Block Ice Cream Shop in Chatham, Massachusetts!

Christian also makes a trip to Island Creamery in Chincoteague, Virginia every summer to enjoy a cake batter ice cream with Butterfinger, Reese’s Pieces, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup chunks.

And finally, Alicia believes you can’t go wrong with Peachy Paterno from Penn State’s Berkey Creamery!
