Freemansburg Police Groundbreaking

MKSD architects joined the Freemansburg Community last week for the official ground breaking for their new Police Station Addition to Borough Hall.

This project started from a feasibility study MKSD architects completed of the existing municipal building located on Monroe Street in Freemansburg. The municipal office has remained almost untouched since its construction in 1970, MKSD collaborated with the municipality to present the need for the expansion of the current Police office to the members of the Northampton County Gaming and Economic Redevelopment Authority, explaining how the existing police facilities are “functionally obsolete.”. The Authority was hearing grant application to disburse $1.5 million in revenue from the casino. The Design team was very excited to secure $825,000 for their project.
